Your giving makes a difference

  • Bibles

A Bible that we will give to a family through a personal visit costs $3. Our goal is to distribute a Bible to each one of the 120,000 homes in Guanacaste. We have already visited 65,000 families giving them a Bible and praying for them.

  • Children

With $30 per week you can give love, God's word, craft time and a snack to children in the villages through our Kids' Clubs.

  • The Homeless

A warm meal for 20 homeless people costs $40. Our team prepares, packs a takes a meal to the homeless in Nicoya park every Tuesday morning. We also spend time and share the Gospel with them.

  • Team 50

Commit to a monthly gift of $50 USD to support the running of our weekly ministries and the up keeping of our facilities.

  • Build

Construction and development support: Give a gift to help us improve our facilities. Next projects: A new kitchen ($10,000), a playground ($3000).

  • A Missionary

Support our Costa Rican full-time team members. Our missionaries are responsible for raising their own support to cover living and personal expenses, no one gets paid by the ministry. Would you commit to supporting a missionary with $50 a month?

  • Education

Your support to Valo ministry transforms lives of children in the rural villages through our after school program and the development of a Christian School for children in the rural communities.

  • Wish List

Here is our Amazon wish list for practical things we need for running the base, the different training programs and ministries: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/JKWDHAOF4ZBN?ref_=wl_share

  • Youth

With $30 a week you can sponsor a youth night where we pick up unchurched youth from the surrounding communities for Friday nights of games, teaching, snack and fellowship.

Your financial gifts help us spread the good news of Jesus. We are grateful to God for your help!

 Financial FAQs

  • YWAM doesn’t have a central office that manages or provides funding. Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a decentralized organization that relies on donations from individuals, churches, and other partners to fund its ministry.

We depend entirely on God and His people to fund the ministry we do. YWAM missionaries are responsible for raising all of their own financial support. In the same way each YWAM location is dependent entirely on donations.

  • YWAM is called to practice a life of dependence upon God for financial provision. For individuals and for any YWAM team or community, this comes through partnership with His people.

YWAM staff, including the international, national and base leaders, are self-funded; we raise our own funds outside of the organisation to support the work we do.

Every volunteer missionary joins YWAM with an understanding that they give their expertise and goodwill with no remuneration. As God has been generous toward us, so we desire to be generous, giving ourselves, our time and talents to God’s mission with no expectation of remuneration.

  • All our staff members are YWAM missionaries. We don’t receive a salary, but rely on relationship based support, monthly and one-time donations from friends, family, churches and other believers. Committing to support a YWAM staff member you are also participating in God’s mission in a significant way.

Each missionary has their own support team to whom they report regularly. You can contact us or contact a missionary directly to ask for information on how to support them. Especially our local staff members are in need of more regular financial mission partners.
