Our Vision
People in Guanacaste know Jesus and actively participate in God's mission locally and globally.
Our Mission
To know God and make Him known by being a permanent Christian presence and witness in the rural communities of Guanacaste.
We present the Gospel to individuals and families, disciple them in following Jesus and participating in God’s mission.
We support and teach communities toward biblical transformation and development.
We mobilise the church and Christians of Guanacaste to world missions.
COMMUNITY and FAMILY
We are a vibrant missions community with a family atmosphere in the beautiful countryside of Nicoya, in the Guanacaste province, Costa Rica. We strive to know God and make Him known in the communities that surround us and in the nations.
YWAM Nicoya is an international missions organization that works to create spiritual transformation in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We are committed to hospitality and providing a place of connection with God for individuals and teams from around the world. As an outreach-focused ministry, we serve the local communities through weekly ministries, community projects, mission trips, and training programs.
One of our key initiatives is to place a Bible in every home in the Guanacaste province, and to equip and send missionaries from Costa Rica to the least-reached nations of the world. Whether you’re looking for short-term mission trips, missionary training, or opportunities to serve in Christian outreach, YWAM Nicoya offers a unique and transformative experience in the heart of Costa Rica.
DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
SCHOOL
Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to help you understand God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify your unique gifts and purpose to use in life and missions. DTS is an intensive, residential training course which begins with an 12 week lecture phase, followed by an 8-12 week intercultural outreach. DTS emphasizes cross-cultural exposure and global awareness, preparing students to answer the call to "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19

“I didn’t really have a relationship with the Lord before coming here. I am eternally grateful for the work you do here. This is such a beautiful place that is filled with the Holy Spirit. This place has healed me and my relationship with God in unimaginable ways. It has been a rollercoaster of joy and heartache, but it has all lead me to a such a peaceful place and a strong foundation for my faith.”

Testimonies
“Life here in Costa Rica is very simple, but it is far from easy. My life back home is easy, but it is complicated. The message of Jesus is simple and not complicated. This trip has reminded me of the true message of the Gospel.”

“My relationship with God has grown much deeper, from the head to the heart. My head was filled with much information. In the DTS I learned Biblical concepts from a fresh point of view, and with a focus in living in dependence on and obedience to God's voice. Through the quiet times and learning to hear God's voice has helped me to turn this theoretical knowledge into practical knowledge. This has deepened my relationship with God.”
